   The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Delaware, established in 1961, is the state affiliate of the national ACLU. Through education, litigation, and community outreach we work to preserve and strengthen the individual rights and liberties of every person in Delaware.Founded in 1920, the ACLU is the nation’s foremost guardian of liberty. We are a non-profit, non-partisan, private organization with 53 affiliates throughout the nation. Our work is devoted exclusively to the defense and promotion of individual rights guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.


AIDS Delaware is the State of Delaware’s oldest and largest AIDS Service Organization (ASO). Founded in 1984 by a group of concerned volunteer activists addressing the needs of the emerging AIDS community in our state, the last 23 years has seen a transformation of a few individuals into a major professional not-for-profit agency working for the health of the human family.


The Barbara Gittings Delaware Stonewall Democrats, formerly Delaware Stonewall Democratic Club. It’s mission is to secure for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people the equal human rights guaranteed to all citizens by the Constitution of the United States and the laws of the State of Delaware; to foster the ideals of the Democratic Party; and to contribute to the Party’s growth and influence.

COLAGE (Children Of Lesbians And Gays Everywhere) is a national movement with a Delaware chapter of children, youth, and adults with one or more lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or queer (LGBTQ) parent. “We build community and work toward social justice through youth empowerment, leadership development, education, and advocacy.”

The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Inc. (DBCC) is committed to making a positive difference by raising awareness about the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.


The Delaware HIV Consortium is a statewide non-profit organization established to facilitate collaboration among its members and to ensure that quality, non-duplicative HIV treatment and prevention services are available throughout Delaware. Our membership includes HIV/AIDS service providers, civic leaders, public health professionals, representatives of private business, and persons living with HIV disease. The Consortium operates several statewide working committees, which are governed by a duly elected Board of Trustees. The Consortium works to better the lives of Delawareans with HIV through service coordination, community participation, and consumer involvement. Over the years the Consortium has added innovative programming to the array of HIV/AIDS services in Delaware, including HIV Information Libraries and Resource Centers, an HIV Drug Education, Support and Adherence Program, a tenant-based rental assistance program for those living with HIV/AIDS, and two site-based housing programs for individuals with HIV and mental illness.


Delaware Liberty Fund is a political action committee which surveys candidates for state and local office on GLBT issues, publishes a voter guide for the GLBT community, endorses candidates and contributes money to their campaigns.


Equality Delaware – To ensure and promote dignity, safety, and equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Delawareans.Over the past decade or so, a coalition of individuals and organizations has advocated for equal rights in Delaware for members of the LGBT community. The coalition’s efforts have resulted in the passage of anti-discrimination and hospital visitation bills and raised awareness of other issues facing our community. These issues include discrimination based on gender identity, the absence of domestic partner benefits for state employees, and the myriad ways in which same-sex couples are denied equal rights when their relationships are denied legal recognition in Delaware.


Haven is the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allies group for students and faculty of the University of Delaware as well as for anyone else who wants to show up. It is educational, political, supportive and social in nature.


The Independence Business Alliance (IBA) is the new Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Chamber of Commerce for the Greater Philadelphia region. The IBA is a membership-based business advocacy organization, dedicated to making the Philadelphia region an influential and diverse LGBT business community with an impact on economic development, equal rights and policy issues. The mission of the Independence Business Alliance is to promote Greater Philadelphia’s LGBT business and leadership communities.


The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark is intentionally welcoming to LGBT individuals. PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered and Intersexual persons, their families and friends through: Support, coping with an adverse society. Education, enlightening an ill-informed public. Advocacy, end discrimination and secure civil-rights. The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware is a volunteer, not-for-profit community chorus that provides gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, transgendered persons, and their friends and supporters with opportunities for the performance of choral music in a supportive and affirming environment. The Chorale additionally strives to present the positive face of Delaware’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community through high quality musical performance, and to support other institutions and individuals who serve that community.


Renaissance provides peer support for adults exploring their gender identity. We welcome anyone who considers themselves transgender, whether they identify as a crossdresser, transsexual, transgenderist, intersexed, or are still discovering who they are, as well as their spouses, friends, and interested professionals. We have members across the entire transgender spectrum, with diverse backgrounds, occupations, and ethnicities. Renaissance is a non-profit educational organization under section 501[c](3) of the tax code. The Delaware chapter is one of 12 chapters of Renaissance around the country.The Delaware Chapter of Renaissance holds its meetings on the second Saturday evening of the each month.
